Why start something you don't feel like finishing?

"information travels faster"

i intentionally wrote it out to be an illegible mess
you wanted me to write you letters, but i'd rather lose your address
and forget that we'd ever met and what did or did not occur.

-death cab for cutie, Photo Album

i thought i had kicked the habit but if you've done it once, you'll do it again, with every night a risk of relapse. no, not cocaine. it's... emo writing. yes boys and girls, last night yours truly laboriously eked out three small pieces of passionately felt blurbs of emotion, relatively early around 2 am. and as always, i woke up this morning and wondered "what the hell was i thinking?" well im glad it's over and no you don't get to read them. the confession is embarassment enough.

ok, maybe one cause this one i actually intend to follow through on in real, rational, waking life. or at least i will if the better, more courageous side of my nature prevails.

feel like sitting outside
in the cold, on a curb
hoping for some company
talk about my recent emotional detachment
look at your pins
we will both sense each other's body warmth
and look forward to going inside
eventually

(oh yeah and it's the only one of the three that is directed at someone who doesn't read my blog...i think. i hope *cringe*)
