all in a wednesday's work

neat/unusual things i saw on the way to work today:
a car with graffiti on the inside. it was silver wavy scribbles just like you see on overpasses, but on the dashboard.

a boy standing in front of a red minivan with the hood up, looking very depressed.

a purple volvo. actually, it was more raisin-colored, but not real-raisin-colored, but California-Raisin-colored. i dont think i had ever seen that much purple in one location before.

a small boy wearing a turtle costume, except that it was more like a neon green poncho with a turtle stomach screenprint on front.

and at lunch i got props from Sree for coming to his truck in the rain yesterday, for which he gave me extra bread today. it's amazing how validated i feel from small gestures granted by local purveyors of Indian food. i am now recognized at India Garden, Prince of India, and Sree's. *beams with accomplishment*
