radio extravaganza

my first four hour show (covering for Stays Crispy in Milk, followed by my regular show). and it was spectacular. eight requests! lots of local band stuff. i played a special trio of Teddy Duchamp's Army, Whatever It Takes, and Pikadori in honor of their show at Roboto last week. in response, a member of Mihaly called to ask me to promote their being on the live show tonight (Advanced Calculus, 9 pm!) so played them too. someone else called to request Teddy's Army but since they had just been played, accepted Creta Bourzia in substitution. i felt all professional and shit, actually giving out dj-type information after playing a band. like the Faint playing last week and next week, Q and not U on Friday at a house of indeterminate location.. except for knocking the arm off the currently playing record one, not putting the cart on Program, and abruptly stopping a few tracks after realizing i had cued the wrong one.. yay college radio!

if you wanna check out the playlist.. here it is. matt made up the first 90 min or so of it cause i'm too unoriginal to come up with four hours of music myself. though i do get to do it again next Monday.

yay Fleetwood Mac!
