Maple Leafs
four day trip to Toronto, much goodness though bookended by bad luck.
- 12 hr travel each way on greyhoun...bad
- Buffalo's Fifth Third Bank
- "you can't eat closed"
- ate at a mall food court trapped in an 80s time warp
- border fiasco (yay fedex overnight and Saturday delivery)
- Courtyard by Marriott, for pennies a day! (well, almost) the limits of a towel vocabulary
- donut shops everywhere! and bubble tea
- an awesome old-school arcade: still reigning at air hockey, pinball machines, and Dance Dance Revolution!
- eating out like there's no tomorrow
- Downtown: our home and home of the world's longest street (Yonge St), "tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies.." full-length acappella rendition performed by Matt
- Kissing Jessica Stein, funny lesbian comedy but relevant too
- Chinatown: eating dimsum and buying ear cleaners, a back scratcher, and a strainer
- Boystown: they're so happy! and gay!
- Clubtown: cheesecake and Nirvana at the Second Cup coffee shop, improv comedy at the Second City, lobster and crab soup at the Red Tomato
- Queen's West: shopping extravaganza, new hat, getting slowly drunk on Guiness and hard cider in an English pub, and the House of Ill-Repute
-
- back in Buffalo, Matt's unfortunate sickness leading to staying a few nights at parents' place in suburbs, but being fed bacon! mmm..
- Ernie the big goofy wolfhound
- coming back Tuesday morning, where 212 and 251 goodness awaits
