famous baby

today at work i met a baby. she was deliciously cute, with long light blond hair and bright blue eyes. and easily the happiest baby i've ever seen, just smiling and gurgling to me, a perfect stranger, while her dad was off looking at bikes. apparently she's a model too, having appeared in several BabyGap and Bloomingdale's catalogs, to name a few. i wonder what she'll look like when she grows up.

also at work today, while adjusting the fit of my new bike, Brendan said that i have long legs--that is, in proportion to my overall height. this is an amazing discovery, bordering on preposterous. yeah but i still ride a 49cm bike. Spandau Filet is such a great bike, i love it to an irrational degree. would you think less of me for buying these $220 (retail) cycling shoes for her while there are impoverished children in the world?
