visions of vanilla sugarplums

note to self, quit reading bike zines right before bed. or else more sleepless nights of dreaming of building my own bike will ensue. OBVIOUSLY.

bus peeve of the day:
when i'm sitting in the window seat and when it comes time for me to get up, the person next to me merely slides his knees ninety-degrees, instead of actually standing up to let me up. cmon, fella, both me AND my gigantic blue-and-yellow striped ass need to get out.

and right after that:
our luckless heroine positions herself right next to the rear bus door, and at the appropriate time, requests "back door please." except that she underestimated her own vocal power and it came out more like "BACK DOOR PLEASE!!", causing at least seven people to turn around curiously to see from whom such a monstrous shout emerged.

it was like that time:
back in the days of paper logs, i did an all-punk show on wrct, and a listener called in to say "such loud music from such a small voice!" it was great. but it is mega-tiring to have to cue up a new track every sixty seconds.

and to bring it back to where this all started... check out the ever so lovely, ever so unattainable Vanilla Bicycles, based in Portland, Oregon.
