the power's out

this was the dismal situation 10 minutes ago:
A. it's nighttime, so it's too dark to read books.
B. shiny's battery is mysteriously dead, so i can't go on the internet.
C. it's raining, so i can't bike anywhere else that might have electricity. and matt has my umbrella so i can't walk there either.
D. no one else is home to talk to.

but then Shahrzad came home and we considered playing Star Wars Stratego but were too lazy to read the instructions. then it stopped raining so i am at the wean cluster, sitting here typing this. oh man the excitement builds. what will happen next? welcome to...my life...the page-turner.

oh wait, there is something cool to tell you about. this animated series rex the runt is one of the funnier things i've seen in a while. the first episode is the best ("random Pavarotti disease") but they're all pretty good.

also i am totally in love with this bike. its fenders...so shiny... *drool*
