Annual Dustfest, aka Warped Tour at Randall's Island, NY
with Matt & Joe

more than anything else...we all got absolutely FILTHY. wicked yeah! in addition to the usual lovely other-people's-sweat smell that i'm associating more and more with fun times...dust in my teeth and mouth. and when i blew my nose just now, black boogers came out. was that more than you needed to know? you get the picture.

other highlites:
* props to Joe for being more punk than the rest of us Ticketmaster-paying minions and sneaking in when tickets were sold out
* local band Whatever It Takes namechecked Pittsburgh (yeah!! Pittsburgh Pride!) also: as a result of the lead singer's DIY speech, i've decided that instead of starting my own record label someday, i'm going to open an all-ages venue somewhere for the kiddies to have lots o fun and hear lots o good music.
* H2O - image of Matt dancing away crazily, oblivious to the people pushing and shoving all around him
* ataris (personal day's favorite) opened with two Blue Skies... songs ("I Won't Spend Another Night Alone" and "Losing Streak"), ended with "Your Boyfriend Sucks." i touched Kris's shoe! *high-pitched fanatical screaming goes here* black high-top Converse All-Stars. too bad i didn't get a piece of his guitar too but still their performance alone would have been worth the 35 bucks. (random: ran into Mike (yes, Irene's Mike!) after their set, said hi. Irene wasnt with him at the time though, he was still looking for her a while after.)
* rancid - another great performance. and i crowdsurfed for the first time during their last song "Ruby Soho" arent you proud.

a wonder-FUL day! :)
