reporting for duty

this is the mandatory how-my-new-job-is-going report.
it's not terrible. sometimes it almost gets interesting. or at least mildly entertaining. for example.

• there are floor plans of each residence hall on one of the walls. each room is colored in yellow highlighter when it's been vacated. when it's been inspected, i color it in with blue highlighter. yellow + blue = green. very exciting, that color wheel business.


• noticed yesterday that my co-worker has a nice butt. he bends down frequently to file LSCRs in the cabinet. mm.


• having Monday off. as Shahrzad's telnet would say, "yesss".


• and best of all, scavenging from the stuff people leave behind in their dorm rooms. so far i've gotten a small fan, a giant radiohead poster, and a book (Slaughterhouse-Five by Vonnegut). and that's just from Webster. i'm sure the freshman dorm inspectors made a killing.

on the same token, the nice thing i've noticed about being around in the summer is that mostly all the dumb people have left. i was wondering why there seemed to be so many more attractive guys around. but it's just a combination of my weakness for geek-cute and the new higher visibility of grad students.
